FAQ

Questions people ask before trusting a reproductive health app.

Short answers about Local Cycle's privacy model, tracking support, backups, and reports.

Is Local Cycle an offline period tracker?

Yes. Local Cycle is designed as an offline-first tracker with no app-owned servers, no accounts, no ads, and no analytics SDK.

Does Local Cycle support irregular cycles, PCOS, or perimenopause?

Yes. Local Cycle can show a prediction window instead of a single date and includes condition context for PCOS, perimenopause, endometriosis, thyroid disorders, POI, elevated prolactin, and generally irregular cycles.

Can I log a pregnancy loss without deleting my cycle history?

Yes. Pregnancy loss logging preserves existing cycle history, pauses predictions while you recover, and includes optional recovery tracking.

Does postpartum mode support C-section recovery?

Yes. Postpartum mode includes vaginal birth and C-section tracks, weekly baby and recovery updates, symptom logging, and prompts when you may be ready to return to cycle tracking.

Can I restore a backup without photo permissions?

Yes. Local Cycle uses Android's document picker for encrypted backup files and does not request photo, video, audio, or external-storage library permissions.

How do doctor reports work?

You choose where to save the PDF, then Local Cycle opens the saved file from that location. Reports are unencrypted exports, so the app warns you before creating one.
